The Principal Dr. Chikkarangaiah is a very popular man who is a loved and respected teacher, and surgeon. Dr. Chikkarangaiah started his carrier as assistant surgeon. With his love for teaching, Dr. Chikkarangaiah soon became lecturer in surgery. He has served in various Govt. Medical colleges as assistant professor and Professor. Dr. Chikkarangaiah has worked as principal of the Ambedkar Medical College for about 5 years. Under his leadership SSMC is progressing not only in the field of education but also in arts and sports.
